Warehouse Team Leader

Description:

Alliance Healthcare, a leading UK pharmaceutical distributor under Cencora, is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to drive productivity and ensure smooth operations within the warehouse. The role involves managing team performance, implementing training programs, and ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

📦 Operational Leadership:

• Motivate and manage warehouse staff to achieve daily operational targets.
• Oversee the implementation of staffing plans to optimize performance.
• Support the Warehouse Operations Manager in achieving company objectives.

📋 Compliance & Training:

• Ensure adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and SOPs.
• Deliver training on warehouse operations, safety, and compliance procedures.
• Conduct team briefings, 1:1 meetings, and return-to-work sessions as needed.

📈 Performance Management:

• Track and report warehouse KPIs.
• Address operational concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
• Foster an engaged and motivated workforce to maintain productivity.

Qualifications & Skills:

✅ Experience:

• Proven experience managing a large team in a warehouse environment.
• Pharmaceutical warehouse experience preferred.

✅ Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and use initiative within set boundaries.
• Familiarity with warehouse and distribution processes.
• Understanding of security, audit, and compliance procedures.

Job Details:

📅 Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week (Sunday – Thursday, 07:00 – 15:00)
📍 Location: Hinckley, UK (LE10 3BZ)
📆 Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term (potential for permanent role)
💰 Salary: £35642 per annum
