Account Manager

 

Description:

As the Account Manager you will work closely with clients, suppliers and internal contacts to deliver services to our customers professionally, to specification and on time.  You will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service through excellent customer service and product delivery.  You will develop and maintain a strong relationship with key client stakeholders at all levels and you will propose and deliver all company solutions.

You will also proactively identify, develop and convert new business opportunities within existing accounts, driving organic growth through strategic client engagement and value-based selling.

You'll need experience of working with clients and delivering ongoing solutions to resolve their challenges - taking ownership of various relationships and developing them further.

The areas of spend under management with this FMCG client are Permanent Point of Sale Fixtures (POSF) solutions, any temporary point of sale experience would beneficial, but not essential

This role operates on a blended basis between the local HH Global office, client / vendor site(s) and home as necessary. Client offices in London and West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Take briefs from the client including full specification details and deadline dates and manage project delivery from start to finish, suggesting alternative options and innovation where possible - own the process
  • Produce detailed specifications for internal and external clients based on client knowledge.
  • Deliver contractual requirements, prepare presentations and complete necessary account administration and reporting while keeping accurate records
  • Deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Monitor projects to ensure they are delivered to specification and on time.
  • Ensure activity is recorded using the designated company tools.
  • Maintain a full understanding of the broad range of HH Global's services and work closely with the internal departments.
  • Implement new methods and procedures as required.
  • Ensure invoicing procedures are followed.
  • Proactively identify, pursue and close new business opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop account development plans, leading to cross-sell initiatives across HH Global’s full suite of services as part of a strategic growth plan.
  • Own and build a strong pipeline of opportunities within the account.
  • Commercial & Performance
  • Agree and manage budgets and P+Ls.
  • Ensure profit is maximised through analysis of performance.
  • Deliver services to meet and exceed contracted SLA’s.
  • Manage and monitor objectives to meet key business drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Company policies.
  • Measure customer satisfaction and take appropriate action.
     

Knowledge, Skills + Experience
 

  • Account management experience, working within a contracted environment to strict SLAs (service level agreements) and KPIs (key performance indicators).
  • Experience in a client facing role is essential.
  • Experience in liaising directly with clients and advising on permanent POS solutions is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in permanent POS industry is essential.
  • Experience in troubleshooting unexpected project issues and implementing preventative measures is preferred.
  • Leadership and management experience is desirable.
  • Numerate with a strong commercial understanding.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Able to prioritise workload in a high energy environment.
  • Is professional, courteous and calm under pressure.
  • Has a problem-solving mind-set.
  • Process driven, with an eye to sales and business development.
  • Approachable and confident to offer advice in meetings.
  • Able to manage and communicate with key client stakeholders to successfully deliver and exceed their expectations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and Google Apps is preferred but not essential.
