Architectural Assistant / Technician

Description:

OCR Architecture, a design-focused architectural firm based in Appledore and Bristol, is seeking a full-time team member for an office-based role in Appledore, Devon. The firm specializes in crafted, low-impact architecture that integrates Passive House principles, community, and landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

🏗 Assist with 3D modelling, design work, and planning documents.
📐 Develop technical detailing and architectural drawings.
📊 Work on design presentations, graphic documentation, and reports.
🤝 Attend client meetings and collaborative design discussions.
🛠 Ensure compliance with UK construction codes and building regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
💻 Software Proficiency: Strong command of MicroStation, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Suite.
🖌 Design & Presentation: Exceptional graphic design and presentation skills.
📖 Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of UK construction techniques and building codes.
👥 Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
📅 Time Management: Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
🌱 Sustainability: Interest in sustainable architecture and knowledge of Passive House principles is a plus.
🚗 Additional Requirements:

• Must have UK work visa (sponsorship not available).
• Must own a car for commuting and site visits.
