Art & Design Technician

Description:

The Art & Design department is currently looking to recruit a technician to join a well-established team and support a range of Art and Design pathways such as graphic design, fine art, fashion & textiles, 3D design, illustration, animation, and photography.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting students and teaching staff in the preparation of materials and equipment
• Maintaining a safe working environment
• Providing both practical and digital technical advice to students at an individual and small group level
• Ordering and maintaining stock levels for materials and equipment
• Liaising with other art technicians in the use of shared resources.

Requirements

You will need:

• Level 2 qualification in the relevant subject area or relevant industry experience
• Technical qualification in the relevant subject area
• Experience of following/applying Health & Safety Procedures
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint
• Maintaining relevant equipment
• Competency in using the relevant tools
