Assistant Inspection Engineer

Description:

We are recruiting for a Full Time Assistant Inspection Engineer to bolster our ENGTEQ team in Aberdeen.

The role will assist with Inspection Engineer with integrity management and inspection-based scopes, including the preparation of Inspection Work Scopes, reviewing of inspection & NDT reports and findings, liaising with NDT technicians and Offshore Inspection Engineers.

Candidates should possess the following:

 Degree qualified in an engineering related discipline or, HNC/HND qualified with plant inspection training/qualification preferred.

 Knowledge of relevant national and international standards relating to oil industry equipment and processes.

 Confident communicator both orally and written.

 Good attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment.

 Flexible in approach and ability to work as part of a team.

 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to use bespoke databases.

 Willingness and capability to build on existing skills and develop professionally.

 Previous experience of offshore environment. (Desirable).

 Knowledge of NDT Inspection techniques. (Desirable).

 Report writing experience with strong attention to details.

 Ability and willingness to travel offshore if / when required.
