Assistant Merchandiser

Description:

Fashion & Retail Personnel Ltd is seeking a Senior Assistant Merchandiser for a temporary on-site role with a prestigious luxury retailer in the London Area. This is a rolling temporary contract, ideal for candidates available to start within a week.

The retailer offers a wide variety of products including accessories, apparel, and cosmetics. The successful candidate will be expected to bring strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities to support key merchandising operations, performance tracking, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed trade analysis to inform sales strategies.

• Support the Merchandiser and Merchandising Manager with ad hoc tasks.

• Compile and report on weekly sales performance.

• Generate weekly sell-through reports and identify areas for potential growth.

• Perform sales forecasting and manage intake accordingly.

• Update and maintain various merchandising trackers.

• Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) to ensure efficient inventory control.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a merchandising role, ideally as an Assistant Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser.

• Highly analytical mindset and attention to detail.

• Advanced Excel skills are essential.

• Experience in fashion or retail sectors, especially luxury goods, is a plus.
