Assistant Store Manager

Description:

As an Assistant Store Manager at Next, you will be a key leader in driving sales, efficiencies, and achieving performance targets by inspiring and leading your team. This is a varied, fast-paced, and challenging role requiring a hands-on approach in operational and commercial activities. You will support the Store Manager, step in when necessary, and ensure excellent customer service and accurate stock processes in a safe, efficient environment.

Shift Pattern:

• Sunday 10:00 - 17:00

• Monday 08:45 - 17:15

• Wednesday 11:45 - 20:15

• Thursday 08:45 - 17:15

• Friday 11:45 - 20:15

Responsibilities:

• Support and inspire the team to deliver high standards and achieve business goals

• Take ownership of store operations and cover the store as needed

• Foster a customer-focused shopping experience

• Ensure clear and accurate communication to meet business needs

• Lead by example with a hands-on approach

• Manage and resolve people issues effectively

• Plan, organise, and prioritise workload efficiently

Candidate Requirements:

• Passion for customers, products, and people

• Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm and approachable under pressure

• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Experience in leading and coaching teams

• Effective multitasking and organisational skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship for this role)
