Description:
Our client, a large and well-known consulting firm, is seeking to recruit two Associate Directors with a robust background in economic and regulatory consulting within UK regulated utilities, such as water, gas, electricity, and hydrogen. This position offers flexible working locations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
Work on diverse, high-impact projects within water and energy networks
Conduct cost and performance benchmarking, including:
Econometric modeling
Cost-benefit analysis
Unit cost model development
Provide expert advice during regulatory reviews and CMA appeals
Handle report writing, economic analysis, data collection, and client engagement
Mentor and develop junior staff
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Sector Experience: Utilities industry, regulator, or consulting
Skills:
Strong grasp of micro-economic principles
Experience with economic modeling and analysis techniques (econometrics, CBA, benchmarking)
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry data sources is highly desirable
A passion for solving complex problems using structured and creative thinking
