Associate Solicitor

Michelmores LLP is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Solicitor (Private Client) to join its highly regarded Tax, Trust & Succession (TTS) team in either Bristol or Exeter. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on tax, trust, and estate planning for individuals, families, and businesses

• Assist in the creation and administration of trusts and private wealth management vehicles

• Offer guidance on succession planning and wealth transfer across generations

• Engage in will preparation, governance of family-owned businesses, and related private client services

• Develop direct client relationships from day one to understand client objectives and provide commercially aligned advice

• Manage financial and non-financial targets effectively while contributing to team goals

Notable Work Examples:

• Advising trustees on land transfers to mitigate inheritance tax

• Structuring land ownership for promotion agreements

• Advising family business owners on estate planning and tax optimization

• Cross-border tax and trust advisory for UK and international clients
