Derwent FM, part of the renowned Places for People Group, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Cleaning Supervisor to oversee planned and reactive cleaning operations at York University. This role is ideal for an experienced cleaning professional who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a dynamic university campus environment.

The Cleaning Supervisor will lead and manage a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring that all areas of the campus are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities include planning daily operations, supervising staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, managing equipment and materials, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a positive, community-driven attitude aligned with the values of Places for People.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a structured schedule within a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. The organization places a strong emphasis on safeguarding and requires all employees in this position to undergo a basic DBS check.
