Prodoto Commercial Photographic Studios Ltd., a family-run and well-regarded studio in Halifax, is looking to hire a Commercial Videographer/Editor & Stills Retoucher to strengthen their creative production team. Known for delivering top-tier visual content in the product, fashion, food, and homeware sectors, Prodoto supports a diverse clientele from SMEs to household brands. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where visual storytelling, precision, and quality production are key.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing professional, high-impact video content, executing retouching work on still images, and supporting in-house marketing efforts through engaging visual assets. The position demands creative versatility across videography, post-production, and stills retouching, with a focus on maintaining the highest quality and visual consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Videography & Editing:

• Plan, light, shoot, and edit commercial video content including product showcases, fashion, food, lifestyle, and room sets

• Produce engaging short-form videos for social media and behind-the-scenes studio content

• Conduct full video post-production workflows including editing, colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects

• Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and creative teams to develop engaging content

• Stay informed about current trends in product and fashion marketing media

Stills Retouching:

• Retouch and process images across various commercial categories with high attention to colour accuracy, tonal balance, and detail

• Execute high-end retouching techniques including compositing, product enhancement, background cleanup, skin retouching, and colour correction

• Coordinate with photographers for consistent asset delivery and archiving

• Ensure timely turnaround and quality control of all imagery

Studio & Social Content:

• Create and edit informal short-form content to support the studio’s presence on platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn

• Develop promotional visuals and participate in brand content ideation

• Provide visual support to internal marketing campaigns

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of professional experience in a commercial photography or video studio

• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop

• Deep understanding of studio lighting setups and camera work for both stills and video

• Advanced skills in high-end image retouching and post-production

• Strong time management, ability to meet deadlines, and operate in a high-volume production setting

• Proactive, team-oriented, with the ability to work independently

• Familiar with on-set audio recording and basic sound design principles

Nice to Have:

• Experience in motion graphics or animation

• Stills photography capabilities

• Familiarity with Blackmagic cameras and Aputure lighting systems
