Data Engineer – Business Intelligence & Data Services

Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insights that improve patient care? We’re looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence & Information Services team, helping shape the future of data-driven decision‑making across the Trust.

In this role, you will take ownership of developing, maintaining and enhancing our local data warehouse and reporting solutions. Your work will ensure that staff across the organisation have access to timely, accurate and relevant information to support the planning and delivery of outstanding healthcare.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

• Developing and improving the Trust’s data warehouse, reporting environment, and ETL processes
• Managing routine and bespoke data extractions from clinical and operational IT systems
• Leading on the Trust’s reporting strategy, including exploring modern web‑based reporting tools and data collection solutions
• Ensuring high‑quality, reliable datasets that support operational performance, clinical services and statutory reporting
• Working closely with colleagues in the BI & Information Services Development Team, as well as Divisional Managers, senior leaders and clinicians
• Collaborating with partners across the wider health system, including local ICBs/CCGs
