We are now hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and manage the maintenance & engineering functions across our Westbury & Maerdy sites. Key Responsibilities:

🛠 Team & Leadership:
✔️ Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance & engineering team.
✔️ Foster a collaborative and motivated culture to ensure smooth operations.
✔️ Proactively resolve team challenges and maintain high morale.
✔️ Ensure efficient task delegation and optimal use of team skills.

⚙️ Engineering & Maintenance Management:
✔️ Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring all machinery & systems are fully functional.
✔️ Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program to reduce downtime.
✔️ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
✔️ Work with Production Managers to align maintenance with production goals.

💰 Capital Expenditure (Capex) & Project Management:
✔️ Lead Capex projects from planning & design to installation & commissioning.
✔️ Prepare and manage the annual Capex budget for engineering projects.
✔️ Oversee energy reduction initiatives and monitor energy efficiency.

📈 Continuous Improvement & Cost Efficiency:
✔️ Drive cost reduction initiatives in operations, resources, and manpower.
✔️ Improve efficiency and product quality through engineering innovation.
✔️ Support cross-functional problem-solving teams to enhance performance.

📊 Reporting & Compliance:
✔️ Track and report maintenance KPIs, team performance, and budget adherence.
✔️ Provide regular engineering updates to senior management.
✔️ Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance, risk assessments, and projects.

Requirements:

🎓 Qualifications:
✔️ Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
✔️ Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including:

• Pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical distribution, DC/AC drives, & controls.

🔹 Skills & Experience:
✔️ Proven experience leading engineering & maintenance teams.
✔️ Ability to manage complex Capex projects from concept to completion.
✔️ Strong organizational & problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
✔️ Solid knowledge of budgeting & commercial decision-making.
✔️ Excellent communication & interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.

🚀 Oversee the successful completion of a new calender line installation.
🚀 Improve uptime performance for the automated small chemicals weighing machine.
🚀 Support & deliver Capex projects in alignment with group-level strategies.
