Description:
They are now searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to provide manufacturing/industrial engineering expertise, using capacity modelling, data analysis and continuous improvement techniques to optimise WIP flow, cycle time, equipment utilisation, throughput and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the fab capacity model, ensuring data accuracy and supporting equipment and staffing decisions
- Analyse WIP, equipment availability, throughput and operational data to identify improvement opportunities
- Perform capacity, cost and “what-if” analyses to support business and operational decisions
- Identify and resolve issues affecting cycle time, production flow and delivery performance
- Assess capacity requirements resulting from changes in product mix, process flows and business demand
- Work with Engineering, Operations, Automation and Tool Owners to assess the impact of process and equipment changes
- Conduct time studies and data analysis to evaluate process and throughput improvements
- Support the introduction of new processes, methods and production flows
- Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards and recommend tooling/process requirements
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methods
Experience & Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor, Electronics or Automotive manufacturing, particularly in:
- Capacity modelling
- Operations optimisation
- Data analysis
- Continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 3 years’ industry experience, or equivalent proven industry experience
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred/required
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
