Engineering Manager

Omega, a market-leading manufacturing company based in Andover, is seeking a proactive and experienced Engineering Manager to lead their dynamic engineering team. This key role involves managing all engineering functions from concept to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective new product introductions while maintaining high-quality standards.

The Engineering Manager will be at the forefront of product innovation, responsible for both electronic and mechanical product development, project oversight, and ensuring that all products meet internal specifications and external compliance standards. The role requires a hands-on approach to resolving production challenges, improving product design, and supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients with technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering department, providing strategic and operational direction

• Oversee new product development from concept through to manufacturing launch

• Collaborate with internal departments to identify and troubleshoot production and design issues

• Plan and deliver engineering projects within defined timeframes and specifications

• Manage design upgrades and address obsolescence issues

• Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable industry regulations and quality standards

• Offer expert technical support to customers and internal teams

• Maintain awareness of new technologies and implement best practices

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Holds a minimum HND qualification (or equivalent) in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science

• Brings a track record of successful new product introductions and engineering project delivery

• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail

• Has prior experience managing engineering teams within a manufacturing environment

• Possesses a flexible attitude, including the willingness to travel internationally as needed

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Holds a valid UK driving licence
