Maintenance Engineer

Premier Group is seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a reputable manufacturing company in the Oil & Gas industry based in Hampshire. This is a full-time, permanent on-site position offering a competitive salary based on experience.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts. The role demands a hands-on engineer with a solid mechanical foundation and working knowledge of electrical systems. Experience in high-risk industries such as Oil & Gas or Energy is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

• Support the smooth and safe operation of all plant machinery and installations.

• Minimize downtime through quick response and effective breakdown repairs.

• Monitor, update, and maintain maintenance documentation and records.

• Uphold the highest standards of Health & Safety across all activities.

• Contribute actively to continuous improvement efforts and team collaboration.

• Ensure compliance with site protocols and industry safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Time-served apprenticeship or technical qualifications (NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree) in a mechanical or related engineering field.

• Strong mechanical engineering background; knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous.

• Hands-on experience working with plant machinery in Oil & Gas, Energy, or similar sectors.

• Familiarity with process operations and preventative maintenance practices.

• NEBOSH qualification (preferred).

• Excellent team player with strong communication and organisational skills.

• Proactive, methodical, and safety-oriented work ethic.

Offered Benefits:

• Salary between £30,000 and £40,000 annually, depending on experience.
