Description:
Brighton Chamber is seeking a well-organised, proactive, and people-focused Events & Programming Manager to join its dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Brighton’s thriving business community, leading a vibrant calendar of over 100 annual events, including workshops, networking sessions, and the flagship Brighton Summit.
This full-time role offers variety and impact, as you’ll be instrumental in shaping and delivering events that connect and support the city’s diverse network of businesses. You will work closely with the internal team, as well as partners and venues throughout the city, to craft engaging and memorable experiences for members.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage a wide range of events from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets the high standards of the Chamber.
Work collaboratively with local partners, suppliers, and venues to coordinate logistics and maintain excellent relationships.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and forward-thinking.
Contribute to the evolution and development of the events programme, bringing creativity and structure to the planning process.
Support and enhance the Chamber’s mission to offer inclusive, welcoming, and supportive networking and learning opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A natural flair for project management, scheduling, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for collaboration and community engagement.
Previous experience in event coordination or management, ideally within a membership organisation, non-profit, or business network environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment, staying calm and organised under pressure.

Working Conditions & Benefits:
Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Friday
Office-based for the first three months, with the option for hybrid working thereafter
Salary between £32,000 and £34,000 per year, based on experience
