magic42, based in Birmingham, is a leading provider of eCommerce web solutions and software applications. They are currently seeking an Experienced Full Stack Web Developer with expertise in PHP and Magento to join their team. This role involves working on a range of exciting projects, including new builds, platform migrations, and integrations, while utilizing a variety of tools and technologies such as Magento, Laravel, and APIs.

As a key member of the development team, you will take responsibility for full-stack web and application development, collaborating with other developers, mentoring junior team members, and working alongside the Client Team to plan and estimate project timelines. The role is hybrid, with flexibility to work from home while meeting the team in person four times per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full stack development using tools like Magento, Laravel, and Adobe Commerce

• Integration of eCommerce stores with ERP systems using various APIs

• Mentorship and guidance for junior developers

• Collaboration with the Client Team to plan and estimate project timelines

• Creating maintainable and scalable code

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, AlpineJS)

• Expertise in Magento, Joomla, Laravel, and similar platforms

• PHP development with experience in MySQL, Linux, Apache, nginx, and Elasticsearch

• Strong git and Docker skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

• Linux systems admin or DevOps experience

• Experience with CI/CD technologies

• Knowledge of web security and SaaS platforms (e.g., Shopify)

• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms

• Previous agency experience
