Description:
Renishaw, a FTSE 250 international engineering group, is seeking an Export Control Officer to join its Group Export Control Team at its global headquarters in Wotton-under-Edge. This role involves ensuring corporate compliance with export control and sanctions regulations, working closely with global stakeholders across various business functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating export compliance risks, developing policies, and assisting with training initiatives. While prior experience in export control is advantageous, Renishaw provides ongoing training and development to support career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess export control and sanctions risks, with a focus on diversion risks.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
- Monitor and analyze export control laws and sanctions regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist in training and awareness sessions on export control compliance.
- Support the design and communication of company policies related to export control.
- Conduct internal reviews to assess compliance levels.
- Maintain accurate records of export control and sanctions-related activities.
- Support investigations into potential violations and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operational teams to embed compliance into daily business activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in International Trade, Law, Business Administration, or relevant operational experience.
- Understanding of UK, EU, and US export control laws and sanctions regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the industrials and/or defence sector (preferred).
