A highly skilled Financial Controller / Project Accountant is needed for a role in Warwick, UK, offering a salary of up to £70,000, with additional benefits. This role is ideal for individuals with significant experience in project accounting, who can manage project revenue, analyze financial trends, and implement solutions to increase profitability.

As a Financial Controller / Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of financial and management information across the business. This includes preparing the P&L for three global business units, ensuring strong financial controls, and overseeing project and management accounting processes.

You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and involving the Finance team throughout the business, driving decision-making and future business direction. The position involves leadership, training, and development of the finance team to promote best practices and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data at month-end and year-end.
• Oversee P&L for three global business units.
• Implement financial controls and processes for both project and management accounting.
• Manage internal finance resources to provide high-quality service to the business.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and the involvement of Finance in strategic decision-making.
• Lead, train, and develop the finance team to maintain high standards and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified or QBE – CIMA/ACCA.
• Extensive experience in project accounting, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or consultancy environments (other industries accepted).
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and trends.
• Proficient in Excel, including VBA programming.
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels, from engineers to board members.
• Sage 200 experience is desirable.
