Fire Service Instructor

Description:

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Trainers to join our experienced and knowledgeable team onsite at the Fire Service College (FSC) Providing support and development across a wide variety of FSC courses, fire and rescue and rescue service qualifications and wider private sector training. What you will be doing:

• Training groups of delegates in Firecraft in both classroom and practical environments
• Instructing mostly in Breathing Apparatus, Fire Behaviors Training and Tactical Ventilation
• Ongoing assessment of delegates
• Acting as Safety Officer during live fire exercises - always promoting a positive attitude towards the development and maintenance of Health and Safety culture

What we are looking for:

• Accredited Breathing Apparatus (BA) Instructor (Essential)
• Accredited Fire Behavior Training Instructor (FBTI) (Desirable)
• Previous teaching experience within firefighting
• Previous experience in local authority Fire & Rescue Service is desirable
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Basic understanding of IT Systems experience (MS Office)
