Description:

British Airways, the nation’s flag carrier, is seeking a Fleet Development Delivery Manager to oversee the engineering process for new and second-hand aircraft configurations, entries into service, deliveries, lease returns, and disposals. This pivotal role will support the strategic growth of the British Airways fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical interface between aircraft manufacturers, lessors, and British Airways’ sales and leasing directorates.
  • Manage all aspects of fleet development projects, ensuring technical, regulatory, and commercial obligations are met.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and multiple external organizations.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of the fleet plan.
  • Lead aircraft delivery, return, and retirement processes in compliance with British Airways standards.

What You’ll Bring to British Airways:

  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and aircraft maintenance systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aviation industry operations, products, and services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a working understanding of finance.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders across various departments and organizations.

Your Experience:

  • 3+ years of aircraft maintenance or technical experience in operational/support roles.
  • Proven project management experience, including handling multiple streams.
  • Familiarity with technical, contractual, and regulatory aspects of aircraft fleet management.
  • Experience in financial and corporate governance.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
