Description:
British Airways, the nation’s flag carrier, is seeking a Fleet Development Delivery Manager to oversee the engineering process for new and second-hand aircraft configurations, entries into service, deliveries, lease returns, and disposals. This pivotal role will support the strategic growth of the British Airways fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical interface between aircraft manufacturers, lessors, and British Airways’ sales and leasing directorates.
- Manage all aspects of fleet development projects, ensuring technical, regulatory, and commercial obligations are met.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and multiple external organizations.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of the fleet plan.
- Lead aircraft delivery, return, and retirement processes in compliance with British Airways standards.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and aircraft maintenance systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of aviation industry operations, products, and services.
- Strong commercial acumen with a working understanding of finance.
- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders across various departments and organizations.
Your Experience:
- 3+ years of aircraft maintenance or technical experience in operational/support roles.
- Proven project management experience, including handling multiple streams.
- Familiarity with technical, contractual, and regulatory aspects of aircraft fleet management.
- Experience in financial and corporate governance.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
