Freelance Mid-weight Art Director

Role Summary:
The Mid-Weight Art Director will generate ideas, create advertising/promotional concepts, and develop work from draft through final product, collaborating closely with copywriters, Creative, and Client Service teams. The role includes supervising junior creatives and requires a strong understanding of Klick’s internal procedures including print production, stock image usage, and creative workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

• Shape and execute creative strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Lead art direction and design for web, print, and broadcast media ensuring brand consistency.

• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and delegate tasks effectively.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with copywriters, developers, UX/UI designers.

• Communicate clearly and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Participate actively in internal reviews and client presentations, articulating creative rationale.

• Lead brainstorming sessions and innovate to elevate creative output.

• Understand client brands deeply and align creative work to their goals.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of art direction or creative role experience, preferably agency background.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

• Strong leadership in delivering integrated creative projects.

• Innovative mindset, ability to challenge the status quo constructively.

• Personal qualities: optimistic, driven, empathetic, trustworthy, team player.

• Familiarity with health/pharmaceutical advertising regulations is a plus.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma; quick to learn new tools.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Portfolio submission required showcasing relevant art direction and creative work.
