Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange, in partnership with DASH, is offering an exciting opportunity for an early-career curator with lived experience of disability to join its team under the Future Curators Programme. This part-time residency is designed to provide a real-world gallery context, fostering professional development while encouraging diverse voices in visual arts programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Programme Curator & Learning Lead to develop and deliver new programmes across both gallery sites and beyond.
Manage and coordinate complex projects to a set schedule.
Engage with contemporary art audiences and communicate ideas effectively.
Contribute creative and innovative solutions to curatorial challenges.
Build community connections, particularly within West Cornwall.
Qualifications & Attributes:
Passion for contemporary art and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Creative approach to problem-solving with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
Effective communication skills.
Ideally residing in Cornwall or with existing community ties in the region.
