General Builder

We’re Hiring: General Builder 
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Builder to join our growing team, working across a variety of construction projects in D&G, Cumbria and the Central Belt.
This role is suited to an all-rounder who can turn their hand to a range of building tasks. It is not a position focused solely on brick and block laying.

Role & Responsibilities 🧱
You will be involved in a broad scope of works, including:
• Brickwork, blockwork and modular stone systems
• Paving, copings and slabbing
• Raking out, repointing and crack repair systems
• Slap outs, propping and lintel installation
• Concrete foundations and general concrete works
• General render repairs
• Setting out using lasers and lines
• Installation of cavity trays, DPC/DPM, cavity barriers, wall ties and starters
• Working outdoors, at height and in varying weather conditions
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior team members
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
• Assisting with general construction activities as required

Requirements ✅
• CSCS Card
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Positive, adaptable attitude
