Head Of Internal Audit

Description:

Kronospan, a global leader in the production and distribution of wood products for furniture, flooring, construction, and building facades, is seeking a Head of Internal Audit. The role is responsible for leading and mentoring the Internal Audit Team, ensuring audits are conducted in line with the audit plan, and providing senior management with risk assessments and recommendations for internal controls. The Head of Internal Audit will also perform financial due diligence for M&A activities and improve business processes to ensure compliance with Kronospan policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and assign tasks to the Internal Audit Team.

• Communicate audit plans, progress, and key findings to senior management.

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and advise management on mitigation strategies.

• Ensure audits are conducted on schedule and in accordance with the audit plan.

• Promote collaboration between the internal audit team and audited business units.

• Perform financial due diligence for Kronospan’s mergers and acquisitions.

• Improve business processes and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications such as ACCA, CIA, CISA, or CIMA preferred.

• Experience in auditing, risk management, or related fields within an industrial environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Highly resilient and willing to travel more than 75% of the time.
