Airbus is looking for a motivated Health and Safety (H&S) Intern to join their Business Support and H&S team at the Broughton plant. This 12.5-month internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experts in the aerospace sector and gain hands-on experience in business and operations management. The role focuses on supporting daily activities within the wing assembly business, ensuring safety standards are met and exceeded, and assisting in strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in accident reduction and risk assessments.
• Support accident investigations and implement H&S improvement actions.
• Contribute to business support by leading cost-saving initiatives and strategic improvement projects.
• Apply fundamental lean principles to project management.
• Collaborate closely with the H&S Leader and Business Support Team.

Requirements:

• Current undergraduate status (Business, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent degree).
• Knowledge or interest in Health and Safety and Lean manufacturing.
• Strong IT skills, including Google Suite.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
• Team-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to learn and take on challenges.
