Description:

VolkerHighways, a market leader in highways and street lighting maintenance, is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to provide expert HR support to employees and managers. As part of VolkerWessels UK, we deliver major infrastructure projects, offering a collaborative and innovative working environment.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for delivering an efficient, customer-focused HR service, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role will provide day-to-day tactical HR advice and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and employee relations. Additionally, the position involves supporting the Head of HR and wider HR team on strategic HR transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR business partnering support across the company.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
  • Manage employee relations, including handling complex casework.
  • Support workforce planning and resourcing initiatives.
  • Lead and contribute to HR transformation and business-related projects.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in resourcing and workforce planning.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex employee relations cases.
  • Mid-to-senior level experience as an HR practitioner.
