Import Merchandiser

Description:

Danielle Ward Recruitment is working with a highly successful retail supplier to major UK supermarkets, seeking an experienced and proactive Import Merchandiser to join their dynamic and fast-paced team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on nightwear ranges for top supermarket accounts, ensuring every stage from concept to delivery is managed to the highest standard.

In this role, you will take ownership of multiple critical paths, adding new styles, tracking progress, and guaranteeing timely deliveries. You will be the key liaison between the company and factories in the Far East, resolving issues quickly and effectively while overseeing the entire shipping process to ensure smooth and efficient logistics.

You will also coordinate and participate in key meetings, including internal critical path reviews and external sessions with customers, sales teams, and account managers, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned and informed.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple critical paths, adding new styles, and tracking timelines to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Acting as the main point of contact with factories in the Far East, resolving any production or delivery challenges.

• Overseeing the shipping process from the Far East to ensure timely and efficient logistics.

• Coordinating and attending both internal and external meetings to maintain smooth operations and strong communication.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in import merchandising, ideally within fashion or nightwear.

• Excellent IT and Excel skills, with a strong ability to track and report effectively.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
