Description:
Pegasus Group, a leading development consultancy firm known for its innovative approach to shaping sustainable and future-ready environments, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Infrastructure Director. The successful candidate will establish and lead a new Civil Engineering Infrastructure team at one of our northern UK offices—Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, or Newcastle.
This is a senior-level leadership role focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure projects across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, health, energy, education, and regeneration. You will be instrumental in driving the growth of our Transport & Infrastructure Business, expanding our talent pool, and enhancing our geographic footprint through localized and responsive services.
You will work alongside senior directors and sector leads, making strategic decisions that foster long-term business growth, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, high-paced, and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and lead a new civil infrastructure team within one of the selected offices
Oversee operations and promote growth across the UK-wide portfolio
Deliver high-quality civil engineering designs and provide expert guidance
Secure new business opportunities through strategic decision-making and relationship building
Contribute to and help shape the company’s long-term business development strategy
Expand the reach and delivery capabilities of infrastructure services within new regions
Represent the company in high-level client engagements and industry forums
Requirements:
Chartered Engineer with a recognized professional body (mandatory)
Minimum 12–15 years post-graduate experience in civil engineering infrastructure
Proven track record of winning work in a consultancy or private sector setting
Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
In-depth knowledge of legal, planning, consent, and adoption processes for infrastructure projects
Familiarity with both private and adoptable works for all project stages (planning, tendering, and construction)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Collaborative leadership approach with the ability to guide and mentor a team
Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a “can-do” mindset
