It Systems Engineer

IT Systems Engineer
Location: London (60% remote / 40% office)

Role Purpose Supporting a newly merged IT Infrastructure & Systems function, maintaining and improving cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, AvePoint, and third-party apps (VoIP, CRM)
• Maintain infrastructure including Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, VMware, Veeam, SAN, Zabbix, and SolarWinds
• Act as 3rd Line escalation for 1st/2nd Line teams
• Manage incidents end-to-end, ensuring SLA adherence
• Monitor and respond to security alerts (M365 XDR, Sophos MDR, Elastic SIEM)
• Support projects and drive system improvements (RFCs)
• Perform root cause analysis and maintain documentation
   

Key Requirements
 

• Degree (or equivalent experience)
• Microsoft certifications: MS-102, MD-102, SC-200, SC-400, AZ-104
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and ITIL
• Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented
   

Desirable
 

• MCSE, Linux certifications, or CCNA
• Hybrid cloud/on-prem experience
