Junior Womenswear Designer

Description:

An exciting temporary opportunity has opened for a Junior Womenswear Designer to join a leading, trend-driven high-street fashion retailer known for its feminine and contemporary womenswear collections. This short-term role is ideal for creative professionals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced fashion environment.

As the Junior Designer, you will be responsible for a variety of design-related tasks focused on the denim, outerwear, and tailoring categories. You will create detailed CAD drawings, prepare accurate tech packs, and work closely with factories to ensure production aligns with design specifications. Trend research and staying ahead of current fashion directions will be a key part of your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed CADs and technical packs for womenswear collections

• Research seasonal trends and competitor activity to inspire and inform design direction

• Liaise directly with factories to ensure accuracy in samples and manufacturing

• Support senior designers in creating cohesive and trend-relevant product ranges

• Contribute ideas during design meetings and maintain up-to-date design boards

Key Requirements:

• Solid understanding of the commercial womenswear market

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (essential)

• Previous experience designing denim, outerwear, and tailoring preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently

• Immediate availability and ability to hit the ground running
