Kitchen Sales Designer

Description:

Howdens is seeking an energetic and motivated Trainee Kitchen Sales Designer to join their Dundee depot. As part of this role, you'll work closely with trade customers to help design bespoke kitchens for their end clients. You’ll meet homeowners in their homes, understand their requirements, and turn their kitchen dreams into functional and aesthetic designs using your creativity, customer service, and sales skills.

You will be supported by Howdens’ in-house Howdens Academy, which provides both online and face-to-face training. The academy covers everything from kitchen measurement and compliance to technical knowledge, CAD training, and sales techniques—making this an ideal role even for those new to the kitchen or design industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit clients in their homes to understand their kitchen requirements

• Translate client needs into practical and visually appealing kitchen designs

• Use CAD tools to prepare plans (prior experience preferred but not required)

• Offer expert product and design advice to support trade customers

• Negotiate pricing and terms while ensuring the value and integrity of the design

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local trade professionals

• Work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

• Deliver excellent customer service that results in sales and customer satisfaction

• Sales experience (preferred)

• Strong prioritization and organization skills

• Full UK driving license
