Loss Prevention Officer

Description:

NEXT is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to join our Loss Prevention team in Tamworth. The role focuses on providing a safe and secure shopping and working environment while minimizing risks and preventing losses.

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for protecting company assets, building strong relationships with store teams and local police, and ensuring that company loss prevention standards are followed across stores.

This role requires flexibility to work across multiple stores, travel within a reasonable distance from your home, and be available 5 out of 7 days per week, including weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a uniformed presence in stores to deter theft and ensure security.
• Identify high-risk areas and take proactive steps to minimize loss.
• Work closely with store teams and local police to ensure a secure environment.
• Support store management in ensuring compliance with Company Loss Prevention (LP) Standards.
• Conduct LP audits, out-of-hours surveillance, and store security assessments.
• Attend department meetings and provide reports as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in retail security or loss prevention (preferred).
• Ability to travel daily between a cluster of stores.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Self-motivated, hardworking, and proactive in problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills to interact with store teams, customers, and law enforcement.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic IT skills (preferred but not essential).
