Maintenance Engineer

Description:

Every day is different. One job might be swapping drivers and fittings in a store, the next fixing a sticking fire door or a ceiling. You'll be on the road in your company van across the UK. Nights away are a regular part of the job, with hotels booked and paid by us and your meals covered. Some work is done out of hours in stores so we don't disrupt trading. Every job comes through our mobile app.

You won't be certifying electrical work. Our qualified electricians handle testing and sign-off.

Your hours

40 hours a week over four 10-hour days. Working days follow the schedule, so your three days off aren't fixed week to week.

What you'll be doing

Electrical (around half or more of the work):

• Lamp, fitting and LED driver swaps
• Emergency lighting repairs and fitting replacements
• Minor electrical faults and like-for-like replacements (sockets, switches, fittings)
• Supporting our electricians on bigger jobs and LED upgrades

Fabric and general:

• Doors, closers and door furniture
• Locks and lock changes
• Suspended ceilings and tile replacement
• Minor plumbing (taps, toilets, leaks)
• Joinery and general repairs, shelving and fixtures
• Capturing photos and measurements for quotes
• Completing job sheets and photos in the app before you leave site
