Maintenance Technician

Description:

Mears Group is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join their North branch team covering the Northampton and Leicester area. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in general housing maintenance and repairs, including tasks such as bathroom tiling, door fitting, and handling emergency breakdowns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining contract properties and ensuring a high standard of service delivery across all repair activities. The role involves a 42.5-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with participation in an Out-of-Hours (OOH) rota expected one week out of every four. A company van and fuel card will be provided.

Role Requirements:

• Strong understanding of housing maintenance and general repair work

• Willingness to travel within the assigned area

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Full UK driving license (Must be over 21, held license for 3+ months, with no more than 9 points)

• Must have the right to work in the UK (Mears does not provide visa sponsorship)

• Must pass DBS, BPSS, and security clearance checks with valid ID, proof of address, references, and proof of 5-year UK residency
