Network Engineer

Description:

The Network Engineer will work closely with managed service providers and internal technology teams to implement automation, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency, including the execution of system updates, contribution to knowledge libraries, and ensuring Configuration Item (CI) data in the CMDB is accurate and current.

Operational Delivery
 

• Implement and support network solutions aligned with Solution Definition Documents (SDDs).
• Ensure seamless handover to operations post-deployment, maintaining continuity and
   

performance.
 

• Act as a point of escalation for operational support issues, resolving incidents efficiently
   

and proactively.
 

• Apply system updates and patches to network infrastructure either directly or by
   

coordinating with managed service providers.
 

• Ensure CI records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) are accurate,
   

complete, and updated following changes or deployments.

Operational Excellence
 

• Champion continuous improvement in network operations through automation,
   

documentation, and process refinement.
 

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for optimisation.
• Collaborate with managed service providers to streamline operations, reduce manual
   

effort, and improve service delivery.
 

• Partner with other technology teams to ensure network services align with broader IT
   

strategies and support cross-functional initiatives.
