Network Infrastructure Analyst

 

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Network Infrastructure Analyst to support a key infrastructure and networking project at a major site in Chelmsford. This role will focus on supporting a range of infrastructure, networking, and end-user technology initiatives, including network equipment deployments, networking upgrades within a Microsoft-centric cloud and hybrid environment. You will provide support to networking and equipment rollout projects at the Chelmsford site and contribute to infrastructure BAU availability across Azure cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, networking, and site technology environments. Due to the nature of the project work, candidates must be flexible regarding office attendance. While hybrid working is available, there will be occasions where attendance on-site in Chelmsford may be required for the full working week.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Support networking and equipment rollout projects at the Chelmsford site
  • Provide 3rd-line support for Windows infrastructure environments
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution across cloud and infrastructure services
  • Maintain Azure infrastructure services, ensuring security, availability, and reliability
  • Support LAN/WAN networking environments and wireless infrastructure
  • Day-to-day change management across cloud, infrastructure, and network environments
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams to ensure successful delivery
     

Skills & Experience Required
 

  • Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Analyst in a complex hybrid environment
  • Cisco Meraki networking solutions
  • Networking infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Experience supporting networking and infrastructure rollout projects
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN connectivity
  • Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
  • Microsoft 365 (including identity management)
  • Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Microsoft Intune / Mobile Device Management
  • Knowledge of network and systems security best practice
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues
  • Self-starter with the ability to plan and manage workload independently
  • Excellent communication skills, strong customer focus, and a positive "can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work flexibly on-site where project delivery requires increased office presence
