Operational Business Partner

Description:

As an Operational Business Partner, you will support Johnson Matthey’s mission in sustainable technology by leading procurement activities at the site and regionally, ensuring compliance with global procurement policies, managing supplier performance, and bridging global strategy with local business needs. The role involves driving process excellence, fostering collaboration, and supporting continuous improvement to deliver sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as primary contact for local stakeholders regarding end-to-end procurement of goods and services, identifying opportunities for improvement

• Understand local business requirements and advise on suitable procurement solutions

• Liaise between sites, suppliers, and procurement managers to manage supplier performance

• Support implementation of supplier agreements and steer spend toward preferred vendors

• Ensure effective use of Coupa, SAP, and other global procurement tools

• Collaborate across teams and geographies to identify process and system gaps

Qualifications & Skills:

• Vocational education relevant to procurement or related field

• Proven experience in sourcing, procurement operations, and P2P processes

• Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, contract and category management

• Ability to work across diverse cultures and geographies, managing stakeholders and remote teams

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and procurement systems (SAP, Coupa preferred)

• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and proactive self-starter mindset
