Operations Analyst

Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen at a global supply chain organisation for an experienced Operations Analyst in shipping and logistics. You’ll support contract execution using the company’s in-house system, monitor delivery positions, and work closely with the trucks division, gaining exposure to key clients and hauliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day execution of contracts and coordination with clients, hauliers, shipbrokers, agents, and insurers.
• Prepare and maintain shipment files (electronic and paper).
• Issue routing instructions and shipping documents to ensure timely deliveries.
• Track shipments, resolve in-transit issues, and appoint cargo surveyors as needed.
• Assist with freight bookings and liaise with forwarders and carriers.
• Provide cover for colleagues during absences and attend relevant training.
• Adhere to company policies, Health & Safety regulations, and management instructions.

Requirements:

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking ability
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of problem solving independently
• Team player with a professional and adaptable approach
