Pe Cover Supervisor

Elevate Supply is partnering with a respected secondary school in Manchester to recruit a passionate and energetic PE Cover Supervisor. This opportunity is ideal for individuals enthusiastic about sport and youth development, who are eager to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in both classroom and practical PE settings.

Role Overview:
The PE Cover Supervisor will deliver pre-planned lessons during teacher absences and uphold the school’s high standards in behaviour, safety, and engagement within the PE department. This includes classroom supervision, encouraging sportsmanship, and occasionally assisting other departments with general cover responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver structured, pre-set PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

• Supervise and manage student behaviour in classrooms and sports environments

• Promote active participation, teamwork, and respectful conduct during physical activities

• Ensure student safety and monitor wellbeing during sessions

• Collaborate with teachers and senior leadership on student progress and support

• Provide general class supervision support across other subjects as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people in schools, coaching, or sports-related environments

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• A passion for education and physical fitness

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Degree in Sport, PE, or a related field (desirable but not essential)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
