Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Physical Healthcare Nurse (Primary Care) to work at HMP Nottingham. This role provides a unique and challenging opportunity to deliver nurse-led health services within a custodial environment, focusing on improving health outcomes for offenders who often experience poor health.

The position is within the Primary Healthcare Team, providing a wide range of services including initial assessment and screening for new patients, clinical triage, emergency response, care for minor illnesses and injuries, nurse-led clinics for long-term conditions, and health promotion. The team aims to deliver healthcare equivalent to community services while supporting professional development in a supportive environment.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, motivated, patient-focused, and able to work in a challenging environment. The role operates 24/7 on an internal rotation basis, requiring flexibility and teamwork. Nurses will have the opportunity to develop skills in assessing patient conditions, triaging, providing clinical interventions, and delivering emergency care.
