Wonderful Recruitment & Development is seeking a Packaging & Product Designer for an ambitious, design-led company working across the gifts, games, toys, and FMCG sectors. The company collaborates with major UK retailers to deliver packaging and product solutions that stand out on shelves, combining creativity with commercial insight. This role offers a unique opportunity for a designer with strong packaging experience to shape high-visibility ranges for the UK retail market.

The successful candidate will design modern and innovative packaging across various product categories, refreshing existing bestsellers while creating new concepts that align with market trends and retailer expectations. You will be responsible for shaping product ranges across multiple tiers, from premium to value lines, and collaborating with sales, publishing, production, and suppliers to bring your designs to life.

Key responsibilities include creating eye-catching packaging, managing end-to-end design projects from concept through to final artwork, supporting retailer deadlines, and presenting and advocating design concepts with authority. You will also play a key role in ensuring designs align with costings, manufacturing constraints, and overall commercial viability.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong background in packaging or product design (FMCG, toys, gifts, beauty, or related sectors).

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.

• Commercial understanding of costings, retailer value tiers, and constraints.

• Ability to present and communicate design ideas convincingly.

• Strong awareness of design trends and ability to generate fresh, market-aligned concepts.

• (Desirable) Experience across multiple categories, knowledge of emerging design tools or methodologies, and familiarity with manufacturing materials.
