Production Planner

Description:

Carbon60 is hiring a Production Planner / Material Planner to support a cutting-edge aerospace organisation in Farnborough. This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to the production of solar-electric high-altitude aircraft built for ultra-long-endurance missions. The position is offered on a contract basis (Inside IR35) with the possibility of an extension beyond the end of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and maintain accurate production schedules aligned with project requirements and available resources.

• Utilize ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) to manage production orders, work orders, and material requisitions.

• Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring timely material availability while minimizing surplus or stockouts.

• Analyse production metrics and reports to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and forecast material requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project deadlines.

• Promote lean manufacturing practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and output.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in production or materials planning within aerospace or a high-precision manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations is highly advantageous.

Contract Details:

• Location: On-site in Farnborough

• Contract: Until end of 2025 (Inside IR35)

• Pay Rates: £33/hr (Umbrella) or £24.66/hr (PAYE)
