Project Leader

Description:

Mott Macdonald Bentley (MMB) is the design and build unit of global engineering consultancy Mott Macdonald. We are currently looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to work as a Project Leader to help support us in delivering work within our Rolls-Royceframework.

We believe the best engineering projects are delivered by engineers, so we combine the technical Engineer role with some aspects of the traditional Project Manager role into a single, Project Leader role.

What does a Project Leader do day to day?
 

• Lead the design ofvariousinfrastructure projects through the outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover
• Undertake design work related to your discipline/area of expertise
• Coordinate the project team including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Process designers and ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the quality defined by each framework and industry specifications
• Work as part of a “Project triangle” alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure that technical, constructability and commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout.
   

Candidate Specification

What you can offer?
 

• ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated member of the ICE or demonstratable progress made in attaining the ICE attributes.
• Outline and detailed design experience ofinfrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
