Description:
The Radar RF Engineer will work on specialist radar payloads and sensing systems used in areas such as air defence, counter-UAS and space situational awareness. The role covers the practical development of radar hardware, from initial architecture and circuit design through to prototyping, integration, testing and debugging.
You will work across complete radar systems rather than being limited to one circuit or component. Projects are multidisciplinary, so the Radar RF Engineer will work closely with antenna, electronics, signal processing, mechanical and systems specialists throughout the development process.
Our client is looking for someone with strong radar fundamentals and genuine hands-on experience building, testing and troubleshooting radar circuits or systems. A degree in electronics, electrical engineering or a related discipline is expected, along with the confidence to solve technical problems in the laboratory rather than relying purely on simulation.
Experience with radar modelling, antenna development or radar signal processing would be valuable, but the main priority is practical radar hardware experience.
This is a strong opportunity for a Radar RF Engineer who wants varied project work, access to dedicated RF laboratories and an anechoic chamber, and the chance to see new radar technology progress from concept into real-world use. The package includes a profit-related bonus, 10% employer pension contribution, private medical cover and 25 days’ holiday.
