Roofing Maintenance & Repairs Specialist

Paradigm Housing Group is actively seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join its Roofing Repairs Team within the growing Direct Labour Operations (DLO). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safety and durability of housing infrastructure, ensuring timely and high-quality roofing solutions across Paradigm’s property portfolio.

As a Roofer, you will independently conduct maintenance and repair works, including fixing broken components, installing insulation systems, and constructing durable roof structures. The role demands confidence in working at height, competence with both flat and pitched roofing, and the ability to work with tools like roofing hatchets and shingle cutters. Minor carpentry skills are considered an added asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure property safety and weather protection.

• Handle roofing materials like wood, asphalt, etc., and use specialized tools efficiently.

• Install vapor barriers, insulation, and various roofing systems.

• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, building regulations, and company policies.

• Work independently and represent Paradigm with professionalism and excellent customer service.

• Use provided electronic tablet for job management and company updates.

Essential Requirements:

• City & Guilds qualification, NVQ, or equivalent in roofing.

• Demonstrable experience in flat or pitched roofing systems.

• Comfortable working at heights for prolonged periods.

• Sound understanding of construction practices and health & safety protocols.

• Physically fit and capable of using ladders, scaffolding, and power tools.

• Valid UK driving license.

Preferred Skills:

• Minor carpentry abilities to enhance service delivery.

• Willingness to mentor junior team members or apprentices when required.
