Security Officer

Description:

Merlin Entertainments is seeking Security Officers to join the team at Thorpe Park, Chertsey. The role is central to ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff while delivering exceptional guest service. Security Officers are expected to uphold high standards of professionalism, safety vigilance, and proactive engagement.

As a Security Officer, your key duties will include conducting bag checks and personal searches, patrolling the resort for safety threats, responding promptly and professionally to incidents, and collaborating with the on-site First Aid team during emergencies. You will also be involved in asset transfers, proactive operations alongside Surrey Police, and reducing anti-social behavior within the park.

The position requires the ability to use de-escalation and conflict management skills effectively, with flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

• Must have an SIA Door Supervision licence

• Must be over 18 years of age

• Proven skills in crowd management, de-escalation, and conflict resolution

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexible and motivated with a collaborative attitude

• Ability to remain calm and professional during incidents
