Senior Financial Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to partner with a leading international manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant on a 12–18 month fixed-term contract. This position is based in Nottinghamshire (Worksop) and offers a hybrid working arrangement following successful completion of probation.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong accountant to work in a high-performing finance team, supporting both UK financial operations and broader group reporting. The role involves key responsibilities across financial accounting, tax, audit, budgeting, and compliance in a complex multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee intercompany recharges and capital project accounting across multiple group entities.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and cost centre reports.

• Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for eight UK legal entities in accordance with FRS101.

• Liaise with external tax advisors to compile UK tax computations and support R&D tax credit claims.

• Ensure compliance with Group Payment Arrangements for HMRC.

• Provide audit support to the UK Financial Controller, including preparation of comprehensive audit deliverables.

• Support the annual budgeting and mid-year forecasting processes.

• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and strategic initiatives as required by senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with solid post-qualification experience.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially of UK GAAP and FRS101 standards.

• Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP/accounting software.

• Proven ability to prepare, analyse, and present financial data in a clear and impactful manner.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or complex group structure is a plus.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
