Description:
As a Senior RF Filter Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of RF and microwave filters and sub-systems, ensuring all technical, quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Ownership: Take full responsibility for all aspects of RF and microwave filter and sub-system design, including simulation, prototyping, and validation.
- Research & Development: Contribute to next-generation filter solutions through active involvement in research initiatives.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams during the quotation phase, offering technical expertise and engaging directly with customers when needed.
- Design Documentation: Prepare and review design documentation such as design logbooks, data packs, and peer reviews to ensure readiness for production release.
- Project Delivery: Ensure designs meet defined technical, schedule, and cost objectives, maintaining compliance with internal New Product Introduction (NPI) procedures.
- Design Validation: Develop and execute design verification and validation plans, including test specifications, test reports, and reliability evaluations.
- Risk Management: Participate proactively in design reviews, mitigating risks by initiating reviews when appropriate.
- Problem Solving: Support the introduction of new products through troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and the development of robust diagnostic procedures.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree (or equivalent) in RF/Communications Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in RF Filter Design, including tolerance and yield analysis and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Competency in RF design tools such as Microwave Office and CST.
- Hands-on experience with tuning filters using VNAs, conducting power handling, and performing temperature tests.
